Remember that you can see lots of shows on Hochanda  TV showcasing Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour pencils so make sure you watch out for them in the schedules....

So this week H = Heartfelt...
This challenge can be interpreted as you wish - it could be hearts, angels, heartfelt Christmas, a Heartfelt sentiment, blessings - it's entirely up to you and is a nice generic theme to follow
You can enter the challenge with ANY project you like as long as you
coloured it with ANY medium
(pencils, markers, inks, paints, whatever you like).
Remember you can only enter twice!
CLOSING DATE: SAT 19 DEC AT NOON GMT - WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THE FOLLOWING POST....
This week we are very kindly joined by one of our favourite sponsors, the fabulous POLKADOODLES store....

Prize 2: We also have some Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour pencils to give away - to win this you need to be in the UK so please add UK next to your name in your entry - if you're in the UK and don't add it after your name we won't count you in the draw and you could miss out.  Again we will choose a winner via Random.org

So let's see what the team have made this week! ....

Nikky...hmm I've completely forgotten to write down the colours I used on this image but I had fun with a lot of the ones in my tin LOL! I know it's the aqua blues and Wine, magenta and the strong pinks, I had a lot of fun! I wanted to create a background effect for this too - she's not a Christmas Fairy at all but just by adding the baubles in the background she is transformed froma  vampire fairy to a Xmas Angel I think. You can get the image here which is Oddella Fairy
To make the baubles and the background I just gently coloured some circles and built in shadow and highlights then used (I think) yellow ochre for the fairy lights, together with my Graph'It Shake white marker....

Scatty Jan, I used one of the wonderful colouring pages from Colour Therapy 2 - Inspiring Foilage that you can find here, popped onto one of the fabulous calendar pages
Colours used
Venetian Red, Indian Red, Cinnamon
Medium Grey, Dark Grey, light warm grey

Cara - I also chose to use an image from the Colour Therapy 2 collection  . I turned my image into a lovely calendar!
I was in such a rush to colour this up I completely forgot to note down my colours but I can tell you I used almost all of the colours in my tin!

Jane – Hello!  So I have also decided to showcase one of Nikky’s amazing Colour Therapy designs and I have chosen to use a page from COLOUR THERAPY CLUB - MONTH 1.
I think this shows that you do not have to colour the complete design if you find this a little daunting.  By using dies to spotlight on area and leave another blank I have not had to colour the entire page!!  And saved myself a bit of time! J
Colours used:
            Blues: 58, 55, 54
            Pinks: 33, 93, 35
            Yellows: 87, 83, 85
            Black: 99, 97

So it's time to announce last time's winners!....

My favourite green is by far and away Veridian but it's more of a bluey green really but I have to use it somewhere! The dress was cedar I think...

Reds = Vermillion
Blues = Peacock

Scatty Jan Wow I loved my image this week Sally Sadness you can find her in the store here. I think she really suited the Eerie colours theme. She is really cute . Enjoyed colouring her in something different for me.Also liking the darker colours I always seem to reach for lighter colours first.
Colours Used
Purples 034/039
Greys 299/197/198/097
Greens 070/074
Reds 090/091

Nikky...Oddball images are so my cup of tea! This is Sally Sadness - poor Sal! She's so miserable bless her little woolly tights, I love her! I coloured this with my Lyras and then last minute put her onto a canvas...she's a little splodgy and splattered because I oversprayed by making a wash with my PanPastels too but I actually really like her a bit distressed it just adds more to her character I think - see more over on my blog how I did this....

Unfortunately I was too dim to write down the colours I used because as usual I got enthralled in the colouring lol...sorry!

Cara ....This week I got to play with the image Clarissa and I adore her! As she had the stitching on her face I decided to give her green skin a bit like Frankenstein!  To give my image a darker look I coloured it all in Greys first and then went over with my other colours, I did the same with the sky too!...

Colours used:
Light, medium and dark grey and black for the whole image and then the following added over
Sky: 44, 48, 37
Skin: 68, 70
Pumpkin: 9, 15, 17
hair and socks: 37

Yvonne...Unfortunately Yvonne can't post with us today but she had coloured her Leopard Print Punk Fairy image up ready to make on a card so we've added it so you can see the lovely image and colouring...you can get the image here Leopard Print Punk Fairy....

Our new challenge for you today is

D =

Dark Colours
- think Halloween/Autumn colours!

So you can enter the challenge with ANY project you like as long as you coloured it with a medium (pencils, markers, inks, paints, whatever you like) - our only other rule is that you can only enter twice!
CLOSING DATE: SAT 24 OCT AT NOON GMT - WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THE FOLLOWING POST

Prize 1: You can a great digi bundle for the Sponsor's Melonheadz digi store, who are our sponsors for this week - we will choose a winner via Random.org

So let's see what the Design Team have made this week!

Scatty Jan Ohhh think darks was a bit tricky for me I soooo wanted to add some lights in. I used the lovely Witches clothes Line bundle adding in a few cut spiders/ bats/web/grass and gravestone.  I added in a few bubbles to the cauldron and to give some background

The colours I used are
Purples 033/034/035
Greens 073/074/075
Greys 097/098/199
Blues 049/050/051
Orange 009/013/015
Skin 030/032/076/094
White 001

Yvonne - Hello there! I am on holiday but still had time to play with this fab bundle from Melonheadz called  Halloween String Beans and these are so much fun! I loved colouring these up.  I opted to make a stepped step card - as I thought their long legs would lend themselves well to the stepped card.   I used papers from the Polkadoodles Halloween Papers bundle 1 and 2, the pumpkins and sentiment is from this too, you can see the range here.  All the colour combos and close ups of the images are on my blog!

Susan - The images I have used are from the Feelin Witchy Bundle I had so much fun playing with these images....

these are the pencils I have used
Skin - 32 ,31 ,30
Hair - 75
Greens - 68 , 67, 70 ,71
Burnt Ochre ,87
Delft Blue ,41

Nikky...It can be a bit tricky when you think 'Darks' but you can actually achieve this quite easily - really it just means contrast, if you get really good contrast between light and dark this will make your image really pop and the darks then become much darker without really being too hard to achieve. Optical illusion!
I adored this image from our lovely sponsor Melonheadz...this was from the Wizards Bundle here - they supply you with a bundle with little supporting elements so I pulled them all together in Word and just made my own little scene....I should probably have gone much darker but I really wanted to get a nice glow effect going on...
Colours I used are (sorry this might not be 100% as I forgot to write them down!)
Skin: 82 Brown Ochre, Umber, Light Carmine
Clothes: 55 Night Green, Violet
Cauldron & Cat: Black with a little Violet added
Bubbles: Night green, Veridien, Violet, Gold ochre
Background: Gold ochre, light carmine
White 01 to blend

Cara....I used the Halloween Stuff bundle by Melonheadz, I absolutely adored working wit the images, I combined two of the Zombie images, I think they are adorable and a bit like me and my husband.  I used my browns for shading on this card as I wanted the colours to look quite dirty ... as zombies do of course!

Pencils used:
Skin: 68,73,76
Browns: 75,76
Orange: 13,15,17,76
Blue: 44,51,Black

Challenge 3 is still open for entries until NOON GMT today, 10th October and can be found on the post below so chance for a last minute entry if you missed it last time!!
